Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions

Overview

This comprehensive program equips you with the skills and knowledge necessary to become a certified Dental Assistant with Expanded Functions and X-ray skills, in accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 466.024(6) and Board of Dentistry Rule 64B5-16.005. Licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education, License #12533. We combine didactic instruction, hands-on laboratory sessions and supervised clinical experience so you graduate ready to excel.

Requirements

• CDA certification is NOT required in Florida (eliminated May 2009).
• Expanded functions require formal training through a CODA-accredited or Florida Board-approved program.
