Simple steps to make Wax- up

This course is intended to Dentist, Dental Assistant, Dental Technician.


This program is aimed at those interested in increasing the level of knowledge the steps taken by the technician in producing a diagnostic wax-up. The program provides comprehensive education. Dentists who wish to reinforce knowledge and the communication  with their dental technician and laboratory of dental anatomy and reproduce dental forms.

The steps taken by the laboratory technician directly relate to the principles taught an adequate diagnosis and an accurate treatment plan, should be taken into consideration by the Dentist , and when gathering information to send to the dental laboratory.

  • Program content

    The program provides comprehensive education. Dental waxing is a useful tool in case planning and preparation for diagnostic wax-up , Provisionals, Mock up , etc .


    Level  I  

    Learn steps to develop anatomy in waxing for crowns.

    • Dental Anatomy

    • Dental Occlusion

    Level II  


    •  Simple wax-up technique for anterior teeth

    • Comprehensive diagnostic wax-up

    • Dental Aesthetic and Function 

    • Smile analyses (contours, shape,)

    • Technical attention in dental prep for Bridge., crowns and veneers 


    ✔ Practice:

    • Wax up for anterior teeth: Details, texture, and finish


    Level III  


    Simple wax-up technique for posterior teeth

    • Comprehensive diagnostic wax-up

    • Dental Aesthetic and Function 

    • Technical attention in dental prep for Bridge., crowns


    ✔ Practice:

    • Wax up for posterior teeth


Program Details

01 Materials

Includes all materials for practices (brackets, bands, materials, models, instruments and tweezers) and advice to practice as a dental assistant, dental hygienist and revalidate the career in Florida..

02 Contact hours

  • Theory Hours: 12
  • Lab Hours: 12
  • Total Hours: 24 hour

03 Course certification

Having this certification is an important "plus" for your resume. You will get a certificate printed and stamped by Dental Training For You.

04 Total Program Cost

  • Tuition: $1300 

Remember to work as dental assistant in Florida, USA you don’t need to be CDA ( Certified Dental Assistant ). The DANB certification was removed as a pathway to qualify to perform expanded functions in Florida effective May 2009.


Dental assistants in Florida must have formal training to perform the expanded functions listed in the Practice Act. To qualify to perform expanded functions, one must:

 

  1. Complete a course or program administered by or developed as part of the regular curriculum at a dental, dental hygiene, or dental assisting educational program accredited by CODA that provided training in the expanded function 

       

       OR


    2. Successfully complete a Florida Board-approved Expanded Duties Formal Training Program.
